With over 33 years of leadership experience across the energy, telecommunications, financial services, and corporate governance sectors, Mr. Usmani has consistently driven growth, operational excellence, and enterprise transformation. As Chairman of Pakistan State Oil (PSO), he successfully increased the company’s market share to over 50% and led initiatives focused on digital transformation, automation, policy modernization, and restructuring. His efforts positioned PSO to explore new opportunities in renewable energy, fintech, international trading, and the creation of a venture capital fund.

Beyond PSO, Mr. Usmani has held key leadership roles at prominent organizations including Paktel – Cable & Wireless, China Mobile – Zong, PTCL, ExxonMobil JV, Mobil Askari Lubricants, and PQ Corporation JV. He is widely recognized for building new ventures, turning around underperforming businesses, and transforming them into market leaders.

His governance experience includes board memberships at Pakistan Refinery Limited, LESCO, Genco Holding Company, PTCL, China Mobile Pakistan, Mobil Askari Lubricants, and public-sector institutions such as the R&D Fund and the Universal Service Fund (USF) under the Ministry of IT & Telecom. His expertise in navigating complex challenges and fostering innovation continues to make him a vital part of our leadership team.
